As President and co-owner of Warrenton, Virginia’s Patriot Group International, Inc., since August, 2009, Al has been an integral part of the company’s growth from $0 to $60M annually with likely revenue over $100M in 2020.   PGI was the fastest growing company in Virginia for 2014, and was named one of the INC Magazine’s top 500 fastest growing companies for 2014 and 2015. PGI is ISO 9001:2015 registered, has the PSC-1 security company certification, and was recently selected by Virginia Business Magazine, through their employee survey process, as the number one Best Place To Work in Virginia in the small business category.  Al also co-owns Echo Analytics Group, located in Tampa, Florida, and serves as a strategic advisor to EAG.

Al’s previous experience includes five years as a Senior Director within the Triple Canopy corporate headquarters. As the first company employee in 2003, he designed, implemented and managed key processes including recruiting, staffing, personnel deployments, travel, and emergency medical evacuations. In 2008, Al also assumed responsibility for the company’s ISO 9001:2000 quality program. His efforts contributed greatly to the company’s ability to effectively recruit, screen, train, deploy, and support over one thousand personnel deployed to Iraq on U.S. Government contracts within the first year of business, which totaled over $100M.  Within 5 years, Triple Company had grown to $400M in annual gross revenue.

Al’s twenty years of military experience include service in the 75th Ranger Regiment’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Battalions, and seven years of operational service in a special mission unit.  His final assignment was as an Army ROTC instructor at Central Washington University, where he was selected as the U.S. Army ROTC instructor of the year in 2003.  Al was recently selected for induction into the Ranger Hall Of Fame, class of 2020.

Al holds a Master’s degree in organization development from Central Washington University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.

Al’s personal interests include family activities and flying.  He is an instrument rated private pilot and enjoys flying as often as possible.
